Col. Jasjit Singh Gill, took premature retirement from Indian army in 2001. He holds a Master’s in Public Administration and is a Graduate with Honours in Agriculture Economics. He has interests in politics, the environment and people’s welfare. He remained founder members of the Aam Aadmi party in Punjab and remained it’s state media incharge. He was nominated as a Member of Punjab State Task Force on Budhah Darya Rejuvenation Project in 2018 and remained its member till Dec 2022. He has been an active member of the PAC – Public Action Committee which protested and got the Mattewara Textile Park cancelled and is an active environmentalist pursuing the cause of Buddah Darya Rejuvenation. He is a prolific writer who writes on varied social and environmental issues. He writes as a Guest Columnist for “The Times Of India”.
